Servicing and arrears management of mortgage loans is either done internally by originators or outsourced to third-party servicers such as e.g. Stater, Quion and CMIS. Besides servicing of mortgage loan portfolios these parties also do special servicing for some originators and act as back-up servicer (for example in securitisation transactions).
